Mastic of Ebonite
The coverings in ebonite can be repair by means of the use of the mastic “ebonite to you layer " also from part of staff not specialized.
The “Layer ebonite” alloy to the existing covering guaranteeing one durable protection, perfectly berthed to the substrate and with the same chemical resistance of the original covering.
The hardening of the mastic is rather express, that concurs to limit to little hours the time of participation.
l mastic “the layer ebonite„ is produced in two several formulations:
Standard: for the repairs on normal school ebonite
Grafilato: for the repairs on the grafitata ebonite of
TECHNICAL DATA
Specific weight of the mixture: 1.31 gr/cm 3
The following shear strength for traction to conditions of test:
- test-tube of dimensions 170x25x1,5 milimeter
- material of the Anticorodal tests-tube 100 B
- joints with simple superimposition of length 12,5 milimeter
- hardening conditions 48 H. at room temp.

The two members of the “Layer Ebonite” must be conserved in theirs pack originate them sluices accurately, at room temp. (18-25°C) and in dry place. In these conditions their duration is at least 2 years.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR the USE
For the corrected execution of the repairs it is advised to follow the following instructions:
1 - Freshen with grinding whell the surface to repair until to the hardware steel or until to find the covering integral. For a better adhesion of the “Layer Ebonite " to execute one I dull of width 30 milimeter approximately. To clean up and to take the grease out of accurately the superficial ones where will have to be applied the mastic.
2 - To prepare the necessary amount of mastic mixed with cure 4 you leave of “EboniteLayer " type To and 1 ebonite part “layer " type B.
The chemical reaction of hardening is enough fast, approximately 30 ' at room temp., for which the time of I use of the mixed product is limited
3 - By means of one spato to apply it to the mastic with one light pressure waves to avoid air bubbles and to improve the adhesion to the previous covering. To leave to harden for some hours and, if necessary, grind whit emery to happened hardening. For great superficial or large thickness of repair, the second is advised to execute the repair with two layers of mastic applying after the hardening of the first one.
4 - To control the result of the repair with one scintillator to high tension.
